Friday Frothies – Mornington Galaxy Odyssey Passionfruit Sour Review

Welcome back all, I hope you are all keeping safe and well during these strange and scary times.

This week, I had a delicious sour by Mornington Peninsula Brewery. A Dry Hopped Passionfruit Sour as a matter of fact.

Now, this is a beauty of a beer.

Not a whole heap of alcohol content in it with its ABV sitting at 3.5% and a smaller can than usual of 330ml but what it lacks in volume, it makes up in aroma and taste.

Being a passionfruit sour, I don’t really need to explain to you what it tastes like – besides the lower acidity and lighter mouthfeel, this beer tastes pretty passionfruity.

The aroma though is what got me going. Dry hopping adds another level of complexity to the aroma, so adding that hop smell to the passionfruit beer really keeps it feeling like a beer and less like a cider (just a very fruity beer).

Love it.
