Friday Frothies – Murray’s Yellow Submarine NEIPA Review

The beauty of the monthly subscription box is that you get beers from breweries you may not have seen or even heard of before.

The Yellow Submarine by Murray’s Brewing Co. is a prime example.

I have never seen this beer or even heard of Murray’s before, but having it selected in the subscription box means that next time I see that little Murray’s logo, I will be picking up that beer straight away.

As there is only one way to describe this little Yellow Submarine; “Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum.”

As soon as I poured this pearler into a glass, this thick, hazy, juice like texture oozed out and a nice, white, creamy head formed perfectly on top.

Sitting picture perfectly in the glass, the next thing you notice are the tropical fruit aromas that are shooting up your nostrils, with large hints of pineapple and passionfruit being the main culprits.

But it’s not the way it looks or the way it smells that really gets me going about this beer.

The fact you can have a 7% NEIPA with almost no hoppy bitterness at all is the standout for me. Sometimes you find that higher the ABV, harder the punch in the face from the hops but this is balanced to perfection.

A slight bitterness with plenty of fruity flavours. Just an all-round enjoyable beer.
