Friday Frothies – Yulli’s Brews Amanda Mandarin IPA Review

Brad Kingsman’s Friday Staff Pick!

Yulli’s Brews Amanda Mandarin IPA

ABV: 6.7%

This cheeky gal Amanda had me fooled at first! I was thinking due to the red hair she sports in the image on the can that this might be a Red IPA… or even maybe have ginger in it…but no!

Amanda is all about her mandarin! Like her I love a juicy “mandy” and this beer delivers just that but in beer form. WOO HOO!

Sweet mandarin aromas meld well with the hops and malt, although a little lighter on the malt the ABV (alcohol by volume) is still up there, so don’t let this moreish brew consume you.

Soft citrus/mandarin sweetness comes through beautifully and with the addition of orange peel liqueur this citrus delight will lure you in.

Reasonably bitter for an IPA but not too heavy on the malt, this brew let’s the mandarin take centre stage and shine like the beauty of a fruit it is, and in turn the mandarin makes this beer shine – it’s a big fave of mine within the Yulli’s Brews range!

Amanda is one cool girl, I’d suggest hanging out with her and sippin’ some IPA goodness.
