2 Metre Tall Forester Bitter Amber Ale

TASTING NOTES

The Forester region in North Eastern Tasmania is the very essence of a verdant rural idyll and is dripping with the magnificent pioneering spirit of rural Tasmania.
This ale is a salutation to one of the last remaining hop farms of a region with over a century of hop-growing tradition and each year, they drive to the other side of their island to procure the hops directly from that farm.

BREWERY SNAPSHOT

Two Metre Tall are farmers brewing farmhouse ales and ciders in unique batches using farm-grown ingredients from their own 600ha property in the Derwent Valley of Tasmania as well as ingredients sourced directly from farmers across the state. Barrel aging, spontaneous fermentations, experimentation and everything in between. Fruit in ale, sour cherries and more.

DID YOU KNOW?

‘Charlemont’ is the name of Two Metre Tall’s 600 ha farm on the banks of the Derwent River in southern Tasmania.  It’s just a short 40 minute drive from the heart of Hobart along the road towards the north west.  With just 20 inches average annual rainfall, their farm provides some rural challenges. Fortunately, the plentiful Derwent River provides a bountiful water supply.
