Head Brewer Lachy was in Mexico late last year when he was inspired by the delicious, local, spicy hot chocolate’s. It was time to bring that Mexican flare back to the Ballistic brewery! The challenge was to take those flavours and apply them to a beer.
The result is El Calavera, a 6.8% Milk Stout brewed with Cocoa Nibs, Lactose, Vanilla, Nutmeg, Cinnamon and Chilli. Perfectly balanced and unexpectedly drinkable.

Shortly after a year of production, Ballistic Beer knew it was time to spread the love of beer. Settling in West End, Ballistic Beer opened its first flagship Alehouse & Kitchen. Their Chef, Nick and Bar Manager, Mitch work hard to combine the magic of great food and beer. The decor is inspired by their rustic, industrial brewery beginnings. Finishing with a warm and cosy old pub style, their West End venue features leather, wood, steel and indoor plants.
