TASTING NOTES
Grist: American Ale, Vienna, Carpapils and Light Crystal.
Hops: Whirpool addition of Mosaic, Cascade and Nectaron (Hort4337). Dry Hop addition of Nelson Sauvin and Centennial
Fruit: A healthy whack of guava puree added during primary fermentation
Oak: Fermented and conditioned on brand new French oak.
Notes: A fruited and oaked Double IPA
Appearance: Gold to light amber with a white to off white lacy head
Aroma: Initial subtle oak with toffee, caramel, honey and breadiness complimented by fresh Guava. Moderate hop aromas of papaya, mango, peach, white grape and melon along with light floral notes and some herbaceous grassiness.
Flavour: Light oak astringency and firm bitterness that is amply supported by a thick malt sweetness. Juicy caramel and toffee with a slight tartness and acidity from the guava. Finishes with a lingering sweetness and delicious guava flavour.
Mouthfeel: Warm booziness with and a silky slick malt sweetness.
BREWERY SNAPSHOT
Big Shed Brewing Co naturally started out in a big shed on a rented property in the Barossa all the way back in 2002 . It has since grown into a successful commercial operation run out of a cool warehouse in Royal Park, South Australia.
