Colour is deep copper with off white head which is copious and everlasting. Mouth feel is thick and full, true to its name it is indeed viscous! Caramel malt sweetness will be first to hit your sensors. Then resinous, piney hop flavours are present to balance out the grain bill loaded with Aurora malt. Christmas cake and fruity raisin notes from fermentation add a layer of complexity to the beer. The plus 10% abv generates a slight alcohol warmth with each delicious sip. The finish is of moderate sweetness, with firm bitterness for balance. A beer to be sipped and savoured, serve with cheese and dried fruits for a perfect winter evening.
Big Shed Brewing Co naturally started out in a big shed on a rented property in the Barossa all the way back in 2002 . It has since grown into a successful commercial operation run out of a cool warehouse in Royal Park, South Australia.
