TASTING NOTES
Style: Fruit forward easy drinking style.
The Inspiration: The variety Cape Jaffa loves the most made in a drink now style. This wine is literally jumping out of the glass with bright fruit, subtle florals and bold flavours. Simple and uncomplicated.
Tasting Notes: Vibrant plum and blueberry aromas. Palate is medium bodied and oak is balanced. A very drinkable style.
Wine making: Shiraz grapes were crushed and destemmed into closed fermenters. The ferment was carried out with inoculated yeast and pumped over 2 to 3 times a day for colour and tannin extraction. The wine is pressed at the completion of ferment and matured in a combination of old French barrels and stainless steel tanks.
Cellaring: This wine is made in a drink now style. It will age nicely over the next 3 -5 years but the brewers doubt you’ll be able keep it in your cellar for that long.
