Fixation The 86 Hazy IPA

TASTING NOTES

The 86 was the very first beer brewed at Fixation’s incubator and has been consistently the highest selling. Picking up a Gold medal at the 2019 AIBA’s and 2019 Indie Awards, it makes perfect sense that this beer, a tribute to Fixation’s home in Collingwood, is the first incubator beer to be Freshly Hatched. Just like a hazy ride on the 86 tram, but better.  This IPA shows soft juicy aromas of pine, papaya and citrus fruits. Hazy in appearance but smooth on the palate, due to liberal use of high protein grains (wheat and oats).

Based in Collingwood, VIC the Fixation team are proudly the only brewing company in Australia solely focused on the wonderful hop-driven world of IPA. They are inspired by brewers from all over the world and make beautifully punchy yet balanced IPAs and have been recognised for it.

The Fixation team pour 10 taps of pilot batch IPAs direct from the serving tanks inside their home & HQ at the incubator in Collingwood, VIC. The team were stoked to be the first brewer ever, to be awarded the Australian International Beer Awards ‘Consistency of Excellence’ Trophy for three years of consecutive gold medals for Fixation IPA. Fixation Brewing are also currently the Champion Independent Brewery in Australia after taking home the coveted trophy at the Indies in 2019.
