Jameson Caskmates sees the reuse of old whiskey barrels. Nothing new in that, but in between, they’ve been used to age stout from Cork’s Franciscan Well brewery. This has added notes of cocoa, coffee and butterscotch to this classic Irish whiskey.
Jameson have been making whiskey for well over two hundred years, so they’ve obviously had to cut a few long stories short, but their aim is to take you on a journey from past to present; along the path of generations of true craftsmen and the founder of Jameson. Jameson have distilleries in both Dublin and County Cork.
