The Killer Sprocket Bandit pours a slightly hazy red-copper with a thin, quickly-dissipating head. Its bouquet is a medley of biscuit, dark fruit, toffee, spice and smoke. Its flavours invoke a combination of German Rauchbier and Pilsner styles, malty and spicy, and with a smoky finish, denoting the distinct presence of peated malt. Bandit is a classic ale, utilising only water, hops, yeast and malt. No adjuncts, no additives, and of course no preservatives.
Killer Sprocket is a small brewing company founded in 2012 by Sean and Andrea Ryan. Their recipes have been developed through years of home brewing and reflect their passion for full flavoured ales. Their maiden release was the Killer Sprocket Amber Ale, a darker shade of amber with chocolate and crystal malts balanced by a generous addition of three distinct hop varieties. Initially, they produced their delicious beers with the help of their friends at Southern Bay Brewing. In late 2013, they made a move to The Cavalier Brewery west of Melbourne.
