TASTING NOTES

Swimming in a freshwater pool at the base of a cascading waterfall is what Kona Brewing imagined they would find in paradise. In Maui, follow the old Hana Highway and you will find such a place – Wailua Falls.

Wailua is Hawaiian for two fresh water streams mingling. This was just the inspiration Kona needed to create their Wailua Wheat Ale. This refreshing, gold coloured ale blends with the crisp, slightly sweet citrus flavour of tropical passion fruit, known locally as Lilikoi. This thirst-quenching Kona brew is the perfect companion to a day in the sun even if you are not in Maui. Just sit back, relax and enjoy paradise anytime.

Kona Brewing Company was founded back in 1994 by Cameron Healy and his son, Spoon Khalsa. They combined their love of Hawaii and its pristine, natural beauty with their fondness for delicious local brews, and lucky for us, their dream lives on more than 20 years later.
