Nose: Orchard fruits and caramelised malt underpins some elegant floral notes.
Palate: Thick and creamy texture on the front palate, then big toffee notes build across the middle palate with spices dancing above the rich malty base. Triple distillation keeps the whole package crisp and elegant.
Finish: Very long and sweet with hints of white pepper persisting to an elegant and warm finish.
Release 3 was aged in French Oak Apera casks (Australian Sherry) and cut at 49% ABV. This release is limited to 1250 bottles.
Shene Estate Distillery’s products reflect the merging of the old and new. Their aim is to create spirits which are infused with new flavours and experiences, but preserve the essence of traditional distillation practices. They use only copper pot stills made by Tasmania’s own master still-maker Peter Bailly, and our techniques are those that have remained largely unchanged for centuries.
