Here she is: Philter’s big, punchy, Red Ale. Full of bold hop aromas, this beer is loaded with passionfruit, melon, citrus, and even berry notes. A light crystal malt character and medium bitterness to finish make this a ripper of a session ale.
Based in Marrickville, Philter’s founders met when Stef moved in across the road from Mick. Philter was born during a conversation over one of the countless beers they’ve shared. The boys each bring a particular skillset to the brew. Mick is a specialist in the skate and surf rag trade, most recently as GM of O’Neil Australia. Stef is a beer lover and brand-expert, having worked for the past decade in beer, cider and spirits sales and marketing including stints at Lion and Beam Suntory.
