Region
The Adelaide Hills is located in the Mount Lofty Ranges, east of Adelaide. One of the largest geographical wine regions in Australia, its diversity in terms of altitude, climate and soil helps it produce its distinctive cool climate wines.
Vintage
2020 was a challenging vintage in the Adelaide Hills. Although yields were low, quality was exceptional with good flavour and colour.
Wine
Fruit for the First Session Sauvignon Blanc was machine harvested in the early hours of the morning, then crushed and drained through the press to retain the fresh, bright flavours. Clarified juice fermented with two aromatic yeast strains to enhance the Adelaide Hills sauvignon blanc varietal characters.
A fresh and floral Sauvignon Blanc with a zesty passion fruit and grapefruit nose, the mid palate is wonderfully textured with citrus pith and a long crisp palate. A perfect starter for a drink in the sun with friends.
