TASTING NOTES

Holgate Alpha Crucis XPA, 375ml Can, ABV 5.5%
Named after the brightest star in the Southern Cross constellation, the aroma of this Australian XPA sings of sweet tropical fruits and zingy citrus. Think pineapple, mango, lemon and grapefruit.

Holgate Blush Wild Berry Sour, 375ml Can, ABV 4.6%
Holgate’s original semi sour pale ale, the Hop Tart, naturally lends itself to fruited variations after the classic Belgian sour beer tradition. The Blush is a wild berry version – with a deep rose colour and distinctive raspberry and blueberry fruitiness giving an incomparably refreshing tartness. Crush a Blush!

Holgate Hazy IPA, 375ml Can, ABV 6.8%
Hazy IPAs are very closely related to the NEIPA style, with characteristics of being easy on the bitterness for an IPA but big on fruity, juicy hops. Their Hazy IPA has a silky mouthfeel and big fruity hop character. Think mango nectar, orange and peach – from massive amounts of Amarillo, Azacca and Mosaic.

Holgate Tivo Orange Sour, 375ml Can, ABV 4%
Like sipping on an aperitivo watching an Italian sunset, their Tivo Sour is the perfect way to enjoy ‘la dolce vita’ as day turns to night. Sun- kissed orange hues meet enticing aromas and subtle floral bitterness in this vibrant, spritz-inspired sour. A limited release in collaboration with Umberto Espresso Bar, an authentic Italian restaurant located in Thornbury, Melbourne which, like Holgate, is run by a husband and wife team, and loved by locals.

Holgate Millennium Falcon Emperial IPA, 375ml Can, ABV 9%
Pouring light straw gold in the glass, the subtle glow belies the 9% IPA within. The aroma is chock-full of super- ruity US hop aroma – think juicy pineapple, tart citrus, stone fruit, boiled lollies and bubblegum/lemon rind/peaches/ sappy pear. On the palate the fruity melange is underpinned by a bold, evergreen hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is full and luxurious yet at the same time dangerously drinkable.
