The Adelaide Hills is located in the Mount Lofty Ranges, east of Adelaide. One of the largest geographical wine regions in Australia, its diversity in terms of altitude, climate and soil helps it produce its distinctive cool climate wines.
2020 was a challenging vintage in the Adelaide Hills. Luckily, where the fruit for this wine is sourced, there have been no issues of smoke taint. Although yields were low, quality was exceptional with good flavour and colour.
It’s a simple winemaking process where the fruit does all the work for you! Fruit for this wine was crushed and gently pressed, juice was clarified, and a small percentage was sent to old barrel to add texture and complexity. A bright, fresh, fruit driven wine style. It’s a typical Pinot Grigio, on the palate it tastes just like a crisp juicy just ripe pear with a touch of citrus. Deliciously delicate and so stylish it would even make a bold showing on the catwalks of Milan!
