The emblem of the house is born from the tradition that our tequila teachers have of selecting year after year from among hundreds of Tierra Noble barrels only those that have developed the most subtle and elegant notes to celebrate the end of each season. Over time the exquisite blend of these extra-añejo aging up to 85 months would become what is today the Selection of the Founder.
View: Intense dark amber color, clean and bright with reddish sparkles, great grip in the glass forming tears and legs of great body.
Nose : Very pleasant and soft on the nose with fruity and sweet aromas; notes of cooked agave honeys, vanilla, prune, chocolate, toasted almonds, apricot and tobacco in a perfect balance with woody notes.
Palate : Soft on the palate, balanced and complex, with bitter chocolate flavors, nuts and red fruits, a light to tobacco and spices; of great persistence on the palate.
Notes: Surprisingly elegant, harmonious and balanced, additionally definitely the best expression of the Noble Earth house.
Grover, a former photojournalist turned Internet entrepreneur, discovered tequila relatively late in life but has been making up for it ever since. He is co-founder of PhotoShelter and has worked in management roles for several large-scale Internet companies including Quokka Sports (NBCOlympics.com, FinalFour.net), and the Chicago Tribune.
Grover received formal “catador” training in the evaluation of tequila from Ana Maria Romero Mena, and passed the official test administered by the Consejo Regulador del Tequila, A.C., therefore earning an “Award T” certificate.
Scarlet and Grover lived in Mexico in 2010-2011 so they could study tequila, the tequila industry, and how tequila is made and evaluated. They returned to the United States in 2012 and took what they learned to created the Tequila Matchmaker mobile app. In 2017 they moved back to the heart of Mexico’s Tequila region (Tlaquepaque, Jalisco) to further pursue their interests in the tequila world.
